I almost got to do a 10 month pregnancy photoshoot...
I was well overdue!
The last weeks were hard for me.
I was more than uncomfortable and not sleeping... so very tired and emotional.
But more than this I was ready.
Ready to meet our little girl,
ready to be a mother.
Ready.
I tried every trick in the book to bring on labour...
every old wives tale.
I was ready...
but she was not.
She was still kicking,
still growing.
She was waiting...
and waiting...
and waiting... for her perfect timing!
Was this a test of preparation for motherhood?
A test for trusting God?
I know it is not by our timing but Gods.
He sees the whole picture.
We see only but a few brushstokes of his final work of art.
We must trust
and we must be patient
... with a faithful heart.
For when the time is right...
IT IS AMAZING!

...Soon to be Cousins!
Just 12 weeks into our pregnancy we got some very exciting news!
Lynn and Jemahl were going to have another baby!
What fun!
Mark and I were thrilled for this news!
It was so exciting that Lynn and I were going to get to be pregnant together...
and also on maternity leave together!
Most importantly, we were going to be able to give our little ones something very special...
close cousins!
We were lucky in our childhood to have cousins we loved playing, adventuring and sharing life with.
Over the years, we experienced many happy memories, gigling together, and also some very sad times, where we all shed tears.
It is looking back now that one can see how special these times were and how much they truly meant.
They were treasured.
I can only pray that our little ones will get to share in the joy of "cousins" that we got to share as kids and young adults
... and that it will last a lifetime!

Wow! What a fun baby shower! I felt totally and completly blessed to be surrounded by all those I love, celebrating the anticipaion of this little one's approaching arrival!
Mark and I were more than spoiled and feel so thankful for everyones generosity!
I feel so fortunante to have an amazing group of women in my life. Each one means so much to me and I was so happy to share this day with them!
I feel so blessed to have such an amazing group of friends who threw this shower for me! Thank you Ali, Christina, and Jessica! You girls were so thoughtful! This shower matched me to a "tea"! Haha! You girls really know me well! Thank you for hosting a most perfect baby shower! I loved it... and love you girls too!

My baby shower was a vintage tea party theme. All the details were so cute! There was lace, doilies and tea cups in none other than our little one's colors! The food was amazing! Little sandwiches, yummy desserts and hand picked tea blends certainly set the mood for the event!
